Cmdr. Niles Pierson has a year left of his three years in Cape May, but is considering asking for an extension to remain at the Coast Guard training center until at least 2028.Pierson and his wife, Katherine Pierson, were at the caucus meeting of the Cape May County governing body to receive the county’s congratulations for his being named the Coast Guard Engineer of the Year for 2025.
