At a recent commission meeting, city officials stated that the $7.1 million repair of a section of the city of Ventnor’s Boardwalk is moving forward swiftly and should be finished by mid-May.At the commission meeting on March 12, City Commissioner Lance Landgraf stated that pilings are now being driven by contractors close to Surrey Avenue, where a staging area and stockpile have been set up for the project.As workers continue to install structural supports and are ready to lay decking, the work is proceeding at a steady rate, according to Landgraf.
