Pleasantville Man Gets Five Years In Dollar General Gun Incident

A Pleasantville man who brandished a stolen gun at a Dollar General last summer was sentenced to five years in prison last week. According to BreakingAC.com, 19 year old Javont Bell Lowe, 19, pleaded guilty to second-degree possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose in the Aug. 13 incident. He had returned to the store on South New Road twice following a verbal altercation. The first time he was armed with a handbag that he threatened had a gun inside. He then came back with the gun partially removed from the bag. Bell Lowe fled again before police arrived. He ran when police arrived, discarding the handbag, where police found a Glock along with hollow-point ammunition.
