County Commissioners Implore New Jersey Not To Become Sanctuary State

Atlantic County commissioners this week passed a resolution imploring New Jersey not to become a “sanctuary state” for undocumented immigrants, and telling officials the county cannot afford to house large numbers of migrants. The Press of Atlantic City reports the report emphasizes that Atlantic County “does not have the infrastructure, financial resources, social services and public safety resources to sustain an influx of unvetted migrants that are unemployed and dependent on government as the only source to sustain them.”
