In Ocean City officers crowded the City Hall meeting room of City Council as Bill Campbell took the oath as Ocean City’s new police chief recently. Council members had unanimously approved a resolution naming Campbell chief, officially replacing Jay Prettyman, who retired last month. Campbell had served as deputy chief and led the department in that capacity until council members formally approved the promotion.
