Three local organizations received $1.5 million in New Jersey Economic Development Authority funds for art, cultural and streetscaping projects in Atlantic City. According to the Press of Atlantic City, Stockton University got $1 million for improvements to streetscape, wayfinding signs, neighborhood branding, public murals and public tile installations.
Inlet Public Private Association Inc., was on the receiving end of $250,000 for maintaining the Absecon Lighthouse and to assist the organization in securing additional grants for community growth. And, Atlantic City Arts Foundation took in $248,700 for the restoration and protection of eight murals damaged by time and weather.
