Atlantic City City Council had an agenda item Wednesday night a vote on a proposed lawsuit settlement with the South Jersey AIDS Alliance over the city’s 2021 attempt to close a needle-exchange program. But it was yanked from the agenda at the last minute.City attorney Mike Perugini said the agreement, which will involve dismissing the suit and ending the dispute, is still being fine tuned.Council postponed a similar vote in October, saying the proposal wasn’t ready.In 2021, council voted to close the alliance’s needle exchange site, saying it attracted too many drug users.
