A news release from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office says the agency will continue to focus on the county’s most violent offenders in 2024. As part of the Atlantic County Violent Crime Initiative that started in June, the Prosecutor’s Office meets monthly with representatives of other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies to identify the most violent adult and juvenile offenders. The goal of the initiative is to maximize the length of incarceration for the most violent recidivist offenders, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
