The Atlantic City Police Department arrested two juveniles, a 15 year old and a 16 year old, involved in the carjacking of a delivery driver. On February 10, patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of Sewell Avenue in reference to a carjacking. Officers arrived to find the victim, 35, had sustained injuries during an assault and theft of his vehicle. The victim was making a delivery when he found a juvenile male attempting to steal his vehicle. The victim was assaulted by the male and a second male who intervened. The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers later located the stolen vehicle in the 500 block of Absecon Boulevard. They observed two males exit the vehicle and begin to walk away. These males were stopped by police and arrested.
