Part of a long-buried section of railroad track could be removed as part of state plans for the Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area. According to the Press of Atlantic City, the removal is part of a $37.5 million project aimed at restoring the historic tidal flow in the area, a section of what are known as the ghost tracks could be removed and eventually displayed.
