SIC Beach Replenishment On The Way

Sea Isle City Mayor Leonard Desiderio says the city will see the start of its important beach replenishment project as soon as this week but certainly by mid-March. According to the Cape May County Herald, Desiderio said that schedule follows a project meeting with the contractor, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, and the Army Corps of Engineers. He made the announcement at last week’s City Council meeting. The beaches that will receive sand are between 29th and 52nd streets downtown and 74th and 94th streets in the south end. Desiderio added that the contractor expects to start in the south end with the full project to be completed prior to Memorial Day weekend.
