Tuckerton Man Arrested In EHT Following Two Unsuccesful Robbery Attempts

Two unsuccesful robberies led to a Tuckerton man’s arrest in Egg Harbor Township. The Press of Atlantic City reports 30 year old Mark Stackhouse was charged with two counts of robbery and was being held in Atlantic County jail. At about 6:30 Saturday night, police responded to the 7-Eleven at 2612 Tilton Road for a report of an armed robbery attempt. Police said the suspect, Stackhouse, fled on foot toward Wawa, where he was arrested without incident. Stackhouse allegedly went into the 7-Eleven and approached the cashier. Stackhouse told the cashier that he had a gun in his pocket and would shoot her if she didn’t hand over the money, police said. The cashier refused to hand over any money, and Stackhouse left the business.
While outside, Stackhouse attempted to rob a person in the parking lot using the same method, police said, but this attempt was also unsuccessful.
