Political analyst and former reporter, Republican staffer and spokesman for governors Carl Golden died Monday at 86.Since 2010, Golden had been the senior contributing analyst for the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy at Stockton University, which announced Golden’s death Tuesday.”During that time, he wrote hundreds of insightful columns on behalf of the center analyzing and commenting on state and national politics,” Stockton said in a news release, which called his death a great loss for the state.
