Bottlenose Dolphin Stuck In Creek Dies During Rescue Attempt

A bottlenose dolphin stuck in a Cape May Court House creek for more than a week died Friday morning after panicking during a second rescue attempt, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center said. According to the Press of Atlantic City, more than a dozen people and three boats responded to the Skeeter Island Creek and first attempted to use specialized herding equipment to lure the dolphin out of the water without physical capture.
