The Atlantic City Police Department arrested an armed man who attempted to get into a woman’s vehicle with her child inside.
On May 25 at 1:10AM, an officer was stopped by a woman who reported that a man approached her vehicle at Bellevue and Pacific Avenues and attempted to enter her vehicle while in possession of a handgun. At the time, the woman’s child was also in the backseat of the car. An officer was able to obtain a description of the suspect which was provided to officers in the area. Two ther officers observed the suspect, 31 year old Tuwan Gainer, at Florida and Pacific Avenues. Gainer fled on foot from the sergeants who gave chase. The officers apprehended Gainer who continued to resist arrest. Gainer was found in possession of a loaded handgun.
