A majority of the Galloway Township Council has passed a resolution opposing offshore wind projects. Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera made a presentation against offshore wind before the vote. Sera was greeted by applause by the public when he finished speaking.Five of the seven members of the all-Republican council voted for the resolution – Mayor Anthony Coppola Jr., RJ Amato III, Tony DiPietro, Tom Bassford and Muhammad Umar. Deputy Mayor Rich Clute abstained because he was unsure whether voting for it would be a conflict. Councilman Clifton Sudler Jr. was absent.
