Sand has started coming onto the Wildwood beaches with the start this week of a state and city replenishment project aimed at rebuilding some of the most eroded beaches in New Jersey costing 10 million to refurbish.A section of the beach was closed off at the start of the week. The Press of Atlantic City reports Mayor Patrick Rosenello shared video Wednesday of sand and water being pumped onto the beach from a dredge anchored in the nearby Hereford Inlet.
