In Maurice River Township part of Route 47 will be closed and detoured in both directions beginning today as a drainage project in the township begins, the state Department of Transportation announced. Route 47 will be closed between Main Street and Hunters Mill Road beginning at 7 a.m. Motorists will be directed to use Main Street/CR 616 and Hunters Mill Road as a detour.
