53 year old Sean Daly of Mays Landing pleaded guilty to killing his mother. On the morning of March 20th, the Hamilton Township Police were dispatched to a residence following the report of an assault between Daly and his mother, 74 year old Melba Daly, 74, also from Mays Landing. Upon arrival, police located Melba Daly dead from multiple stab wounds in the residence. Her son subsequently confessed to having killed Ms. Daly during an
interview with authorities. Daly’s sentencing is scheduled for October 11, 2024.
