The Middle Thorofare (Two-Mile) bridge in Cape May County is closed to vehicles and pedestrians due to a motor failure and may remain so “for an extended period of time,” Wildwood Crest Mayor Don Cabrera announced on Facebook on Sunday morning. The Press of Atlantic City reports he bridge is in the fully upright position to allow commercial vessels through.
There is no time line on reopening at this time. It could be an extended period of time.
