Atlantic City Police recovered a stolen firearm during a motor vehicle stop where the driver was arrested.
On September 6, at 6:01 AM, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the first block of south Kentucky Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, 43 year old David Toney of Absecon, had an active warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. During a search following his arrest, Toney was found in possession of ammunition in his pant pocket. Officers located a loaded handgun and additional ammunition in the vehicle. The handgun was reported stolen from Virginia.
