Two Face Weapons Counts After Separate Incidents In AC

The Atlantic City Police Department recovered two illegal firearms and arrested two males during separate incidents.
On September 11, 9:45 PM, patrol officers responded to the first block of south Iowa Avenue in reference to dispute involving a bicycle and possession of a handgun. Police investigated a complaint that a 17 year old male had threatened a woman with a handgun.
Shortly after, the juvenile returned to the area and was detained by officers. The juvenile was found in possession of a loaded handgun, 28 individual bags of heroin, and a small amount of cocaine. There was no evidence of a stolen bicycle.
The next day, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop at South Carolina and Drexel Avenues. While speaking with the driver, 34 year old Isaiah Cooper of Pleasantville, police saw paraphernalia used for the distribution of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun and additional paraphernalia containing narcotic residue. Cooper was arrested and also had an active warrant.
