The mayor of Northfield is accused of brandishing starter pistol at a woman during an argument in the Mainland Regional High School parking lot last week. The Press of Atlantic City reports 72 year old Erland V. Chau is charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was released on a summons and is due in court for a first appearance at 10 a.m. Oct. 23.
