According to the Press of Atlantic City no charges are expected against police in a death-by-suicide last month in Vineland that followed a two-hour standoff, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said Thursday. The armed man, whom authorities did not identify, barricaded himself in a home on Italia Avenue on Sept. 29, according to a report by NJ.com. Officers responded to the home about 7:45 p.m. and saw the man, who appeared to have a firearm, retreat into the home and barricade himself, the news outlet said, citing a law enforcement source.
