A Vineland man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shot and killed a Whitesboro man last month at a home in Woodbine, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office said. Hakeem Denby, 34, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and certain person not to possess a weapon in the shooting death of Daquann Smith, 22. Denby is being held in the Cape May County jail pending a court appearance, which is scheduled for Wednesday.
