NJ Sets Lack of Rainfall Record

The U.S. Weather Service Mount Holly announced today that the state has reached the longest period of consecutive days without rain. The previous record in Trenton has been broken. BreakingAC.com reports, according to the Weather Service, the last day of measurable rainfall at the Trenton-Mercer Airport was on Sept. 28 with no measurable rainfall during October. Only a trace of rainfall occurred on Sept. 29, Oct. 4, 5, and 24, and Nov. 1, making it 39 consecutive days without measurable precipitation.
The last record was 38 consecutive days without rain between April 16 and May 23 in 1903.
