Jeff Van Drew is urging the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to stop evictions other than those for criminal violations by the Atlantic City Housing Authority as winter approaches.”I have received reports of the ACHA capriciously evicting residents. These individuals have suffered under a housing authority that has neglected to maintain adequate conditions,” Van Drew, R-2nd, wrote in a Thursday letter to acting HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman. “When they raise their voice against these conditions, they are evicted as punishment.”
