Ocean City Accommodation Tax

An ordinance establishing a 3% tax on some accommodations in Ocean city set for a final vote today is likely to be tabled, for now.“It needs to be vetted better,” City Council President Pete Madden said Wednesday. “We’re going to set it aside and do some more homework on it. Eventually it could be back.” When introduced, the ordinance was intended to add a local tax to the rental of properties through third-party systems like Airbnb and Vrbo.
