Kevin Barnes, the president of the city Board of Education, will seek another year in that role when the board reorganizes today, he said this week. The Press of Atlantic City reports the board chooses a president from among its members each January. There have been times when a member has been reappointed to the position, or else school boards can change presidents each year.The job does not come with any additional authority, and no board members get paid.
