According to the Press of Atlantic City a Galloway Township man who shot and killed an Atlantic City youth football coach outside the home of then-City Councilman Marty Small Sr. six years ago was convicted Thursday, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said. Shamar Scott, 29, was found guilty of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose and possession of a firearm by a convicted person in the death of Demond Tally, 45. Scott, who was charged in April 2021, faces 30 years to life in prison.
