A local motel received a state Economic Development Authority small business grant to assist with several improvements on the property, reports the Press of Atlantic City. The VIP Family Motel used $47,955 in funds to replace aged and cracked concrete, as well as add a silicone coating on the roof to deflect heat from the sun, replace and install new balcony railings and purchase new refrigerators and microwaves for rooms. The business is also renovating its pool.
