Questions remain about when Pleasantville students will start and end their school day just three weeks before the term begins. BreakingAC.com reports the planned changes are based upon studies that show children learn better with more sleep and later start times, Superintendent Marilyn Martinez explained. But many say the still-under-construction schedules leave a multitude of questions, including how they will get their children to school and make it to work, what time they will eat lunch, where extracurriculars will fit in and whether some students will wind up heading home in the dark.
