Stockton University Lockdown Cleared, One Arrested, One Injured

A suspect is in custody after a shooting in Galloway Township led to the lockdown of nearby Stockton University.
Students were given the all clear just after 4 p.m. Thursday, three hours after an off-campus shooting on Jimmie Leeds Road near Redwood Avenue. One person was wounded. BreakingAC.com reports after the shooting, the vehicle turned onto Vera King Farris Drive, traveling north through the campus and has not been located, according to the alert. The suspect was taken into custody at a local housing development without incident, police said. But they did not release any details — including names or where the man was taken in Thursday evening. More is expected to come Friday. Classes and events were canceled for Thursday, with a normal schedule returning Friday.
