About 500 city of Absecon residents received corrected mail-in ballots last week after an initial ballot omitted a City Council candidate’s name.The name of Ward 2 Democratic council candidate Theresa D. Watts was left off ballots mailed to her ward, and her name instead appeared on Ward 1 ballots, according to Atlantic County Clerk Joe Giralo.Those original ballots were delivered to voters Sept. 20. The error was pointed out to the county clerk’s office Sept. 27, and Giralo said his office moved “as quickly as we could.”
