The latest, and possibly final, iteration of plans for Ocean City’s public safety building calls for the demolition of the current structure and building new in the same location.According to the Press of Atlantic City most recently, the city planned to renovate and expand the former police building at 835 Central Ave., built more than a century ago as a high school. That’s one of several ideas that have been considered and eventually rejected.City Council has approved $30 million for that work, which will now go toward a new building.
