An Atlantic City man who, along with his father, joined a mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, is expected to plead guilty next month to charges related to the riot. The Press of Atlantic City reports both the defense and prosecution appealed to U.S. District Court Judge Christopher R. Cooper to vacate a trial set for Oct. 10 in the case against James D. Rahm III. Both parties in late August asked to present a plea agreement on that date, according to court records. Rahm, 29, was arrested in Northfield in March 2021, according to court records, two months after the riot that disrupted Congress’ certification process for President Joe Biden’s win in the 2020 election.
