Sea Isle City is experiencing windy conditions, as a nor’easter begins to affect our area, lasting into Sunday (Sept. 24). The most significant impacts will be moderate to major tidal flooding, several inches of rain, strong gusty winds, and strong rip currents. The high tide of most concern will occur Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:00 PM and will continue into the evening hours. Heavy rains near the time of high tide may worsen the flood . Officials advise if your vehicle is parked in a low-lying area, please take caution and move it to higher ground prior to this tide (such as the Library parking lot at 48th Street and Central Avenue).
