32 year old Sean Lowney of Atlantic City was sentenced to 16 years in New Jersey State
Prison for second-degree certain persons not to possess firearms and unlawful possession of a handgun. Due to Lowney’s extensive and repetitive criminal history he was eligible to be sentenced to an extended term under the persistent
offender’s statute. Lowney was sentenced in accordance with that statute.
On August 11, 2023, Lowney was convicted by an Atlantic County Jury stemming from Lowney
wielding a revolver at his ex-paramour’s residence on May 17, 2021 in Atlantic City.
