A Rio Grande man who was struck by a car Wenesday evening in Middle Township has died from his injuries. Police were called to Routes 9 and 47 for a report of a pedestrian motor vehicle crash. The Press of Atlantic City reports 61 year old Lee Nelson was crossing the intersection heading east on Route 47 when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Route 9. Nelson was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he died from his injuries.
