The Cape May County Board of County Commissioners approved contracts Tuesday, Nov. 28, with two bargaining units representing the Prosecutor’s Office and the Correctional Center members. According to the Cape May County Herald, both contracts were unanimously approved without comment. The Cape May County Sheriff’s Office Superior Officers Association, Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 contract covers the captain and three lieutenants at the Correctional Center. It continues from Jan. 1, 2024, to Dec. 31, 2028. According to County Counsel Jeffrey Lindsay, the pact provides an annual increase of 4% to each officer’s base salary.
