Two Atlantic City juveniles have been charged in connection
with a shooting incident which occurred earlier this month resulting in the death of a 14-
year-old male from Atlantic City. On January 5 at approximately 10:48 pm, the Atlantic City Police Department
responded to the 3300 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City in reference to a
disturbance involving numerous individuals and possible shots fired. Officers arrived
and located two juvenile males on the sidewalk and roadway who had gunshot wounds.
The first juvenile was a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was
treated at AtlantiCare Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the leg and
released from the hospital after a few hours. The second juvenile was transported
to AtlantiCare Medical Center, city division for a gunshot to the head. He succumbed to
his injuries on January 6, 2024 at 3:27pm. The cause of death has been ruled a
homicide and the manner of death is multiple gunshot wounds. The two suspects are 16 year old males.
