35 year old Tina C. Lewis of Mount Holly has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars in an incident in 2021. Authorities say Lewis was behind the wheel of a vehicle outside the Recovery Centers of America in Mays Landing. When she refused to go in, her boyfriend got in the passenger seat and tried to remove her. She drove off and made a turn after which Craig Everett got out of the vehicle and was walking on some grass when Lewis’ vehicle drove off the paved roadway into the grass area, ultimately hitting and running over Everett. Lewis briefly stopped and then ultimately fled the scene and eventually returned to RCA, where she denied knowing what happened to Everett. Lewis had a blood alcohol concentration
of .22%. The investigation revealed Everett suffered numerous skull fractures and was later pronounced deceased on
September 25, 2021.
